eDPI Calculator
eDPI (effective dots per inch) combines your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity into one number, so you can compare settings with other players of the same game. Pick a game and you also get cm/360: how far the mouse travels for a full turn.
- Mouse travel for a 360° turn
- 51.95 cm
- Rotation per inch of mouse travel
- 17.6 °

Formula
How to use it
- Enter your mouse DPI from its software.
- Enter your in-game sensitivity.
- Choose the game to get cm/360, or “Not listed” for eDPI alone.
Worked examples
CS2 at 800 DPI and sensitivity 1.0: 360 ÷ (800 × 0.022) = 20.45 in, or 51.95 cm per 360°
- eDPI
- 800
- Mouse travel for a 360° turn
- 51.95 cm
- Rotation per inch of mouse travel
- 17.6 °
Valorant at 1600 DPI and sensitivity 0.2: 40.82 cm per 360°
- eDPI
- 320
- Mouse travel for a 360° turn
- 40.82 cm
- Rotation per inch of mouse travel
- 22.4 °
Any other game at 1600 DPI and sensitivity 0.5
- eDPI
- 800
eDPI only compares within one game
Each game turns mouse counts into rotation differently, so an eDPI of 800 in CS2 and 800 in Valorant are completely different speeds. Within one game, 400 DPI at sensitivity 2 and 800 DPI at sensitivity 1 are the same 800 eDPI and feel the same.
cm/360 compares across games
The physical distance for a full turn means the same thing everywhere, which makes it the figure to match when you move to a new game. To convert a CS2 sensitivity to Valorant at the same DPI, divide by 3.18 (0.07 ÷ 0.022); to Overwatch 2, multiply by 3.33.
Assumptions
cm/360 assumes hip-fire at the default field of view, with mouse acceleration off and Windows pointer speed at its default so raw counts reach the game. Scoped and zoomed sensitivities use separate multipliers.
Questions people ask
What is my eDPI at 800 DPI and 0.5 sensitivity?
800 × 0.5 = 400.
What is the cm/360 for 800 eDPI in CS2?
360 ÷ (800 × 0.022) = 20.45 inches, which is 51.95 cm.
Is a lower eDPI better?
Not inherently. Lower eDPI means larger arm movements and finer aim; higher means quicker turns with less desk space. Tactical-shooter players tend to prefer lower settings than players of faster-paced games.
