How to use it
- Enter the diagonal size.
- Choose the aspect ratio — 16:9 for nearly all TVs.
- Read the width and height, and switch units to cm if you prefer.
- Add the bezel and stand to these figures before checking a space.

Common 16:9 TV sizes
A 43-inch screen is 37.5 × 21.1 inches. 50-inch: 43.6 × 24.5. 55-inch: 47.9 × 27.0. 65-inch: 56.7 × 31.9. 75-inch: 65.4 × 36.8. 85-inch: 74.1 × 41.7. These are panel sizes only; the frame adds roughly an inch.
Why the shape matters
The same diagonal covers less area the more stretched the screen is. A 34-inch 21:9 ultrawide is 31.3 inches wide but only 13.4 inches tall — about the same height as a 27-inch 16:9 monitor (23.5 × 13.2 inches), just much wider.
