Who reviews our calculators

KeenCalculator is written and built by our team at AREALME. Calculators where a wrong number can matter, such as health, money and tax, are also checked by independent experts with a degree or license in the field. Each reviewer is named, with the review date, on the pages they approved.

How review works

  1. A review sheetThe reviewer gets a sheet listing every page in their field. They try each calculator with realistic and extreme inputs and check the formula, the defaults, the limits and the wording against published sources.
  2. Corrections with referencesEvery requested change comes with the guideline, paper or official source behind it, and those sources are cited on the page.
  3. One re-checkWe apply the corrections, and the reviewer checks the changed pages once more.
  4. Written sign-offThe reviewer approves each page in writing. A page they did not approve does not carry their name.
  5. Review date shownApproved pages show the reviewer's name and the review date. If a page changes materially after that, it goes back to the reviewer, or the name is removed.

Reviewers are paid for their time and have no say in advertising. A review checks that a calculator follows its published method, handles unusual inputs safely and says when to see a professional. Results are still general estimates, not personal advice.
