      Business days = weekdays (Mon–Fri) from first day to last day − public holidays

      How to use it

      1. Enter the first and last day of the period.
      2. Enter the number of weekday public holidays in between.
      3. Switch on Saturday if it is a working day for you.

      Holidays are yours to enter

      Public holidays differ by country, state and employer, and many are observed on a different day when they fall on a weekend. Rather than guess, this calculator asks you for the count. In the US there are 11 federal holidays a year.

      Shipping and “3–5 business days”

      Carriers and banks usually start counting on the first business day after an order or payment, not on the day itself. An order placed on Friday evening with 3 business days of handling typically completes on Wednesday.

      Between 20 and 23 before holidays. October 2026 has 22 weekdays.

      How many working days are in a year?

      About 260 weekdays. After 11 US federal holidays that leaves roughly 249–251 working days.
